Psychologists explain that the reason paedophiles can be the most vehement campaigners against child abuse is because they are really fighting a battle with their own guilty conscience, protesting not to convince others but to convince themselves of the wrongness of their deeds. Their internal struggle is played out publicly, appearing puritanical and just while in private they are tormented and tortured by sinister urges..

Or maybe, they’re just hypocritical kiddie-fuckers. .

I've just been watching something on the news about new initiaties in Unistat in tracking kiddie-fiddlers.

Some communities have, on the local webiste, a section listing pictures and addresses of convicted child molesters who have moved into the neighbourhood, and even offer up to the minute satelite photos of their front yards. There is also a company that will, whenever a pervert moves into your neightbourhood, will send an alert to your cell phone, complete with picture, details etc.

There was someone from the ACLU (who I've usually seen eye to eye with) saying that, yes we cold do all this tracking, hell, we could go further - stick chips in their necks, but do we really want to?

Well, the short answer is: Yes.

See, I don't care about the deep psychological battle the Reverend may or may not have been waging, because the monet you start fucking kids, discussions on psychology go out the window. Also, when you start fucking kids, any and all discussion of human rights goes out the window. You don't want us getting satelite photos of your front yard? Don't abuse small children. Pretty straightforward.

I would argue 'No' but I'm in such a foul mood tonight that I really can't be bothered having to activate my higher brain functions.

That being said, 'Unistat' is the name of the University of Auckland's digital recording of TV programme and thus I do wish people would stop using it as shorthand for the United States of America.

Yes, but Tom Cruise says that phsychology is crap, and if rumours that his recent public displays indicate that he's attained OTVII are true, then we're dealing with a person totally free of engrams here -- totally!!

Do you want to mess with him? Be ready to witness the power of this fully armed and operational battle thetan!!!!

I thought the Cruiser said that Psychiatry is bad... We've yet to hear his verdict on pyschology.

Quoted from the Herald article yesterday:

"Before I was a Scientologist, I never agreed with psychiatry," Cruise said. "And when I started studying the history of psychiatry, I understood more and more why I didn't believe in psychology ... And I know that psychiatry is a pseudo science."

Josh said...

I'm fairly certain he doesn't know the difference.

HORansome said...

Actually, I'd say he does; Scientologists advocate a kind of psychological therapy (Scientology) but are against any form of pharmacological intervention in re mental states (psychiatry).

It's interesting; I agree with some of the principles behind the Cruiser's claims, but since he approaches it from the viewpoint of Scientology I can't actually bring myself to stand behind (apart from, of course, the shiving of his spleen).
